Who are we?

My name's Ian Hush, I'm 49 years old and have been working abroad for almost half my working life. My wife is Croatian and has worked in Spain as an IT specialist in the past.

When I first wanted to work overseas, after leaving the Army, I found it difficult to find any decent information on the countries I was considering.

This was before the Internet had been established but even afterwards there was little information of any real substance I could refer to with any confidence.

Since those early days the Internet has opened up a flood of information, some good and some bad. We intend to bring you a reliable source of quality information and help filter out some of the less dependable information on the web. We can also tailored to your specific needs if you wish.

I have been an Expat of over 17 years now.  This has included Saudi Arabia, Croatia, Germany and several other countries.  I currently work from home 2 days a week in Spain and in the UK on contract for 3 days a week.

Whilst some of the content will be my own experiences there will also be contributions from other Expats around the world and in various industries.
